At least you know that if you at least have gas (and lucky enough to have a gas fireplace) that you can survive the cold for 11 days, even without electricity.(remembering Fowler)..Unless you don't have city water, then you don't have water when the well doesn't work either. Fortunately, we do have a generator in the garage for just occasions.
So glad to hear you didn't lose power. heat or water. At least your pipes did not freeze up. Just remember, you have your love to keep you warm.lol We always try to keep some candles lanterns and flashlights handy, even in the summer time.As you know, we always keep a pantry full of canned goods. A deck of cards always comes in handy , too.lol love u. grandmaG.
